Passeig des Pouàs

These streets stand out for their width and straight layout, contrasting with the narrow streets of the rest of the old town. Until the construction of the Plaça de la Vila, they were the setting for most public celebrations, including horse races at es Poàs and theatrical performances in Plaça del Cardenal Cerdà.

The Passeig des Poàs, now a promenade lined with palm trees on both sides, is also home to the Casa de la Vila, the Town Hall.
