Can Picafort

Can Picafort

WALK ALONG THE SEAFRONT

The Can Picafort seafront promenade is the busiest pedestrian stretch in our municipality during the summer months. It is the main route for traversing the Can Picafort coastline and features a bicycle lane connecting Platja Gran de Can Picafort with Son Bauló Beach.

Along this route, visitors can discover a variety of cultural, natural, scenic and historical features. The main attractions are its recently created cultural and artistic elements: the large-scale murals of Saladina Fest and the sculptures by Joan Bennàssar.

The numerous torres d’enfilació found along the route are also particularly noteworthy, together with other military structures such as machine-gun nests. Finally, visitors can also observe several ethnological features characteristic of Can Picafort: the typical architecture of the old fishermen’s houses and their escars.
